On 4 June 2009, Bice launched the Appeal to a New Mobilization for Childhood in Geneva.
This event mobilized experts, grassroots partners, governments and NGOs. The situation of the Rights of the child since 1989 was widely debated with a special focus on the challenges we will have to face in the coming years.

A great number of personalities, experts on the rights of the child who supported the Appeal for a New Mobilization for Childhood, were present in Geneva. Here are some of the messages they addressed on 4 June.

The Appeal launched on 4 June 2009 in Geneva was also echoed in Latin America by initiatives of Bice local partners and Bice members.

Latin America: CEDAPP is the winner of the contest “Tell me your rights”.
This organisation, a partner of Bice in Latin America, won in the modality « photo », category 15-18 years.
Asia: A championship to sensitise the community on children’s rights
Asia: A championship to sensitise the community on children’s rights.
The soccer team made of children involved in the CCBO project won the championship's cup. The aim of the event was to draw attention to issues such as child abuse. 6 other NGOs working in the area participated to this event.
