Human Rights Committee

 
The Human Rights Committee brings together some 160 NGOs. Topics that are currently on the agenda include: the protection of human rights defenders, media and human rights, religion and human rights, children and human rights, the Social Charter, economic and social rights.
 
The Committee meets four times a year in Strasbourg. Meeting documents are listed by year below:
 
In October 2009, the Conference of International Non-governmental Organisations of the Council of Europe, the chief body representing the INGOs enjoying participatory status with the Council of Europe, joined the World Appeal to a New Mobilization for Childhood (synopsis of the meeting held on 26 october 2010 adopting that decision).

Commission des droits de l'homme

 
La Commission des droits de l'homme regroupe quelques 160 ONG. Les thèmes faisant actuellement l'objet d'un suivi particulier sont: la protection des défenseurs des droits de l'homme, religions et droits de l'homme, médias et droits de l'homme, enfants et droits de l'homme, la Charte sociale, droits économiques et sociaux.

En octobre 2009, la Conférence des Organisation Internationales Non Gouvernementales du Conseil de l'Europe, le principal organe représentant les OING dotées du statut participatif auprès du Conseil de l'Europe, s'est joint à l'Appel à une nouvelle mobilisation pour l'enfance ( carnet de bord de la réunion du 26 octobre 2009 adoptant la décision).
